"Guns and Drums"

  2 Queens Regiment

The "Guns and Drums" days were a regular feature at the Aldershot Military Museum for a number of years. Regrettably a combination of escalating costs and falling visitor numbers meant that they have not been held for a few years, and recent building work for the surrounding Army barracks has meant that the Museum has had to give up much of its surrounding grounds which makes holding this sort of event now unlikely in the future. In their day the "Guns and Drums" days were very popular and visitors enjoyed the mix of military music, martial displays and musket volleys which have made "Guns and Drums" such a hit with young and old alike.
