Talks and Visits

The Friends arrange a full programme of talks during the year. The Spring series has now concluded, the next talks will be in the Autumn season. Details will be published nearer the time.

All talks are in the Boyce Building of the Aldershot Military Museum, Queen's Avenue, Aldershot, at 7.00 for 7.30 pm. Refreshments will be available. Entry is £3.00, but free to members of the Friends of the Aldershot Military Museum. For details of becoming a member of the Friends see our How to Join page.

 

Guided Walks around the historic Aldershot Military Town

For a number of years the Friends have organised very successful guided walks around the historic Aldershot Military Town as part of the Heritage Open Days under the auspices of the Civic Trust and English Heritage, and the Friends are once again planning a walk for the Heritage weekend in September. Look out for details being published nearer the time. Please note that places on the walks are limited and so must be pre-booked by telephoning the Aldershot Military Museum on (02152) 314598

Special Events Day - "Guns and Drums"

The "Guns and Drums"special events day, which has proved so popular in the past, is returning to the Aldershot Military Museum on Sunday 8th June 2008. As before, it will feature a mix of exciting displays by bands and Corps of Drums, along with re-enactment groups showing how soldiers looked and fought in the past, including various firing demonstrations.
